Ctg-Coxs Bazar Eid train to run from June 12 to 22

CHATTOGRAM, Jun 1: Bangladesh Railway, to make vacationers home-bound journey easy and comfortable, has announced resumption of commuter train service between Chattogram-Coxs Bazar from June 12 to 22 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

The direct train service from the port city of Chattogram to the tourist town of Coxs Bazar was introduced as Eid-ul-Fitr special train service on April 8. The service was later extended on public demand and also because the route was profitable to BR. But the Bangladesh Railway authority had decided to stop the train service from May 30  because of shortages of train drivers and coaches.  Sources said that the Eid special train consists of eight bogies.

Meanwhile, the first-ever intercity train between Dhaka and Coxs Bazar, the Coxs Bazar Express started operation since December 1. The second intercity train Parjatak Express train operating on the Dhaka-Coxs Bazar-Dhaka route began its services from January 10.
