Two drown in Netrakona, Cox's Bazar

Two people, including a minor child, drowned a lake and in a pond at Netrakona and Cox's Bazar districts on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Sumon Mia, 21, hailed from Gazipur and Ariyan, 2, of Pekua Cox's Bazar.
In Netrokona, Sumon Mia went down to a lake at Durgapur upazila to take bath while he along with his family members were visiting the tourist spot and drowned there.

Durgapir Police Station sub-inspector Md Atikuzzaman confirmed the death matter.

Meanwhile, in Cox's Bazar, the minor child Ariyan slipped into a pond near to his house while playing on the bank of the waterbody at Pekua upazila in the district.

Abu Umar, the father of the victim and ward no. 5 member, confirmed the death matter.
