Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) standing sub-committee held the first meeting on women entrepreneurship development at the chamber office at World Trade Centre on Monday.
CCCI Vice-president and sub-committee director Raisa Mahbub presided over the event.
CCCI Vice-president and sub-committee director Raisa Mahbub said, ''Thanks to the government for introducing collateral-free 'Mukti' loan programme of up to Tk 50 lakh for women entrepreneurs.''
She said that the chamber will organize workshops with women entrepreneurs to provide a front idea about the basic steps to start a business, import-export including trade license and obtaining various licenses and VAT and tax.
She also stressed the need for imparting training to women through different workshops to establish them as entrepreneurs socially.
Joint Convener Sadman Saika Sefa, Bibi Mariam, Member Manjuma Morshed, Oyeza Masnun, CCCI Secretary In-Charge Engineer Md Faruk and CCCI officials were present on the occasion.
