Three factories fined at  Lalpur for breaching rules

NATORE, June 3: Consumer Rights Protection Directorate (CRPD) in the district on Thursday fined Tk 1, 30,000 to three factories on charge of breaching manufacturing and environmental rules.
CRPD officials in co-operation with the RAB members conducted separate drives in different areas in Lalpur Upazila of the district.  
Mehedi Hassan, assistant director of the CRPD-Natore, confirmed this information.
A Tk 25,000 was fined to Abdul Latif, owner of a molasses factory at Amritapara in the upazila for producing impure molasses.
Labony Ice-Cream Factory at Lalpur Bazar was fined Tk 80,000 for using  Logo of other company, and  Zihad Curd Milk Factory at Gopalpur Bazar was fined Tk 25,000 for breaking environmental law.
The drive will continue for the interest of the consumers, the official added.
