Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim dies in Saudi Arabia

Another Bangladeshi national has died in Saudi Arabia in the course of the Hajj pilgrimage. 

The deceased was identified as Maksud Ahamed, 61. His passport number is ‘B00764305’.

The information was provided in a bulletin released by Hajj Management Portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs at 2:59am on Tuesday.

With this, ten Bangladeshi pilgrims have so far died this year during hajj.

So far, 58,121 pilgrims have travelled to Saudi Arabia to conduct the Hajj. Of them, 3,747 went under a government travel package while the remaining 54,374 bought a private Hajj package.
The Hajj may begin on June 16, subject to the sighting of the moon. A total of 86,257 pilgrims will perform hajj from Bangladesh this year.
