As we come together to commemorate World Environment Day, we are reminded of the delicate balance between humanity and nature. This day serves as a poignant reminder of our collective responsibility to nurture and protect the environment that sustains us. With each passing year, the urgency of this responsibility becomes more apparent as we witness the consequences of global environmental degradation.

This years World Environment Day theme, "Ecosystem Restoration," emphasizes the critical need to restore and regenerate our ecosystems. Ecosystems are complex webs of life that support all living things on Earth. From vast rainforests to vast oceans, each ecosystem plays an important role in regulating our climate, purifying our air and water, and providing habitat and sustenance for countless species, including humans.

However, despite their immense value, ecosystems around the world are facing unprecedented threats. Deforestation, pollution, climate change and unsustainable land use practices have led to the degradation and destruction of important ecosystems at an alarming rate. The consequences of this degradation are far-reaching, affecting biodiversity, human health and the stability of our planets climate system.

But within these challenges lies the opportunity for positive change. Ecosystem restoration offers a path toward a more sustainable and resilient future. By restoring degraded ecosystems, we can mitigate climate change, preserve biodiversity and enhance the well-being of communities around the world.

One of the most pressing problems we face today is the loss of our planets forests. The environment is the container of life, the carrier of vitality. The survival of animals depends on their ability to adapt to their environment. If the environment is unfavourable, the destruction and destruction of organisms is inevitable. Humans, plants and other animals develop depending on the environment. At present, human civilization is facing threats due to the problem of environmental pollution due to various reasons. There are many researches going on about ways to get rid of it. The United Nations has declared June 5 as World Environment Day to raise awareness about global environmental pollution.

Man became intoxicated to conquer nature one day. Even after conquering nature, the addiction of man did not end . Thanks to science and technology, humans began to dominate water-land-space. But this victory of man has left man in a kind of defeat. Today we face a dire crisis. This crisis is not a particular country, nor is it a particular nation. This crisis is all over the world today. The environment of the world today is polluted in many ways. This pollution is leading us to a terrible future today. Today there is poison in the water, terror in the air, terror on the ground. Over 80 species of animals have become extinct in the last 60 years. Hundreds of species of plants have become extinct.

Our economy has improved .  But as a result, 22 million tons of carbon monoxide is being stored in the air every year. The proportional rate of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrous oxide gas in the atmosphere is gradually increasing. As a result, the amount of acid in rainwater is increasing. This acid rain is causing epidemics in forests, poisoning food crops. Green forests are rapidly being destroyed.

Every year 75 lakh hectares of land is becoming desert. 50 hectares of fertile land is turning into sand every minute. A huge amount of oxygen is decreasing in the air every year. Misuse of science is increasing oppression of nature. Various types of pesticides are being developed and applied to protect crops. These dangerous chemicals are entering the human body. As a result, many complex and difficult diseases are forming in our body. Environmental pollution causes 80 percent of new diseases in the world. Polar ice is melting and turning into water. The volume of the ozone layer in the atmosphere is shrinking. Plants and wildlife are endangered today due to pollution. The number of fish in sea-river-reservoir is decreasing day by day. Various diseases are also appearing in fish body.

In conclusion, air pollution is one of the causes of environmental pollution. According to US research institute Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratorys opinion , exposure to polluted air containing chemical mixtures can cause infection or damage to the eyes, nose or throat, as well as various lung complications such as: bronchitis or pneumonia, headaches, asthma and various allergic problems. to Givhan -Scientists have also found a link between air pollution and diabetes. Environment is our main source of survival. If the environment is free from pollution, we will be free from various complex diseases, disasters and epidemics. If the environment is protected, we will be protected. Lets be aware of protecting the environment, make others aware. Make the world habitable, save it from destruction & its our highly expectation.
