52 more Covid cases reported in 24 hours

A total of 52 fresh Covid-19 cases  were reported in the country in 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 1,018 samples were tested across the country for a positivity rate of 5.11 per cent.

With the new numbers of infection, the country's total COVID-19 caseload rose to 20,50,622.
The official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,495 as no new fatalities were reported during this period, said the DGHS.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8, 2020, while its first death was on March 18 that year.
