Two men electrocuted in Naogaon, Patuakhali

Two young men were electrocuted in separate incidents in two districts - Naogaon and Patuakhali, in two days.
DHAMOIRHAT, NAOGAON: A youth was electrocuted in Dhamoirhat Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place in Chakjadu Mohalla adjacent to Dhamoirhat Police Station (PS) in the upazila town at around 10 am.
The deceased was identified as Shariful Islam, 32, son of Mozammel Haque of Nanaich Mandalpara Village in the upazila. He was a vegetable trader at Dhamoirhat Bou Bazar and lived in Chakjadu Mohalla.
It was known that Shariful came in contact with live electricity in the morning while he was switching on an electric water pump in front of his house, which left him critically injured.
Sensing the matter, the family members rescued him and rushed to Dhamoirhat Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared Shariful dead.
Being informed, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceaseds family members without an autopsy as no complaint was lodged from them.
Officer-in-Charge of Dhamoirhat PS Md Bahauddin Faruquee confirmed the incident, adding that an unnatural death case was filed in this regard.
BAUPHAL, PATUAKHALI: A lineman of Palli Bidyut was electrocuted while repairing an electric connection in Bauphal Upazila of the district on Monday noon.
The incident took place in Char Nimdi area under Chandradwip Union of the upazila at around 1 pm.
The deceased was identified as Md Hasnain, 22, son of Md Jamal Hossain, hailed from Uttar Joynagar Chalitatali Bazar area under Daulatkhan Upazila in Bhola District. He worked as a lineman of Palli Bidyut.    
Patuakhali Palli Bidyut Samitys Bauphal Zonal Office Assistant General Manager Engineer Gagan Saha said electricity connection was lost in the houses of the house due to Cyclone Remal. Hasnain was repairing the electricity connection in a house in Char Nimdi Village under Chandradwip Union at around pm on Monday. At one stage, he came in contact with live electricity accidentally, which left him critically injured.
Locals then rescued the injured and took to Bauphal Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Physician of the health complex Dr Mirazul Islam said that Hasnain had died before before being taken to the hospital.
