Decision to cancel FF quota in govt job illegal: HC

The High Court (HC) on Wednesday declared the decision to cancel the quota system, including the first and second-class freedom fighter quota in government jobs, illegal.

Following the High Court order, the 30 per cent freedom fighter quota in government jobs will remain in effect, lawyers concerned opined. After hearing on a writ petition, the HC bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat came up with the order.
