Jubo League leader beaten to death in Cumilla

CUMILLA, Jun 5:  A local Jubo League leader was beaten to death reportedly after he attempted to rape a pregnant housewife at Chandina upazila in Cumilla district on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night at the home of one Akkas Ali in Goramara village under Barera union of the upazila. On Wednesday morning, police recovered the body of the victim from the scene and detained Selim Mia, the victims husband, for questioning, confirmed Chandina Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ahmed Sanjur Morshed.
