Chhatni Mass Killing Day observed in Natore

NATORE, June 6: Chhatni Mass Killing Day was observed in a befitting manner on Tuesday.
On this day, Pakistan Army in collaboration with Rajakers took violent action at night against people of Chhatni Village in Sadar Upazila, slaughtering about 100 sleeping men near the Chhatni sluice gate.
Later on, their bodies were dumped in a nearby pond and a small water body.
Abu Naser Bhuiyan, deputy commissioner (DC) placed wreath at the monument in Chhatni Village.  
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Akhter Jahan Sathi, local freedom fighters, family members of martyrs, journalists and local elites were present at the function.
