Saudi Arabia to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha June 16

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia on Thursday announced that Friday (June 7) will mark the first day of Zil Hajj, as the crescent moon of Zil Hajj has been sighted in the kingdom on Thursday evening.

"Arafat Day falls on Saturday, 15 June, while Sunday, 16 June will be the first day of Eid-ul-Azha," according to a Saudi Supreme Court statement, reports Gulf News.

Meanwhile, the National Moon Sighting Committee in Bangladesh will hold a meeting on Friday (June 7) to fix the date of Eid-ul-Azha.
The meeting will be held at the conference room of Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office at about 7:15pm.

Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting.
