Land service week begins in dists

The Land Service Week-2024 began on Saturday across the country in a befitting manner.

This years theme of the Week is - "Smart Land Service, Smart Citizens."

The Week was inaugurated in districts including Bogura, Joypurhat, Khulna, Kishoreganj, Narayanganj, Panchagarh and Rangamati, and will continue till June 14.

BOGURA: The district administration and Sadar Upazila Land Office jointly organized the inaugural ceremony on the deputy commissioners (DC) office premises in the town in the morning.

Bogura DC Md Saiful Islam inaugurated the Week at around 10:30 am as the chief guest.

Additional District Magistrate PM Imrul Kayes, Additional DC (ADC) (Land) Mst Afsana Yasmin, RDC Abdul Wazed, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Feroza Parvin, and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (AC) (Land) Rakib Hasan, among others, were also present at the programme.

JOYPURHAT: To mark the inauguration of the Week, the district administration and Sadar Upazila Land Office jointly organized an awareness meeting at the Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium in the town.

Acting DC Md Mohiuddin Jahangir was present as the chief guest while ADC (Revenue) Md Sabur Ali presided over the meeting.
 
Sadar UNO Md Rashedul Islam and former commander of District Muktijoddha Sangsad Freedom Fighter (FF) Amzad Hssain, among others, also spoke on the occasion.  

AC Land Abida Sultana moderated the programme.
 
KHULNA: The inaugural ceremony of the Land Service Week was held on the Collectorate Building premises in the city.
Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Md Firoz Shah inaugurated the event as the chief guest.

Khulna DC Khondokar Yasir Arefin, ADC (Revenue) Mukul Kumar Maitra, and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sushanta Sarkar, among others, were also present at the programme.

Thanking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for making Digital and Smart Bangladesh, the chief guest said that the people are now getting benefits from online-based land services due to the digitalisation of the country.

Mentioning that government officials at the grassroots level have been working for the well-being of the common people, he said, people are now giving land development tax through digital systems without any harassment and bribes.

The Land Service Week-2024 will continue till June 14 on the Collectorate Building premises alongside all Land Office premises, where land service seekers will pay land tax and other government revenue through online after registration.

People will also get more services including receiving cheques from mitigated land requisition during the campaign on the Land Office premises.

The services included - E-Namjari, Certified Copies of Khatian, Parcha and other land-related services.

Later on, the chief guest distributed e-parcha, e-mutation and land accusation checks among the people.

With a view to providing the service of collecting the payment of land development tax through online, online registration, e-registration application, and other land related services will be provided in the Land Service Week.

KISHOREGANJ: On the occasion of the inauguration of the Week, a colourful rally was brought out in the town.

Later on, Kishoreganj DC Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the Week as the chief guest in the conference room of the Collectorate Building.

ADC (Revenue) Mohammad Nuruzzaman presided over the meeting.

Zilla Parishad Chairman Md Zillur Rahman and Civil Surgeon Dr Saiful Islam attended the programme as special guests.

Revenue Deputy Collectorate Ishrat Jahan, District Krishak League General Secretary Anwar Hossain Bacchu, Journalist Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu, Mostafa Kamal, and Kishoreganj Press Club Member Secretary Monour Hossain Rony, among others, also spoke on the occasion.

NARAYANGANJ: To mark the Week, Sadar Upazila administration organized different programmes in the city.

Narayanganj DC Md Mahmudul Haque, as the chief guest, inaugurated the Week on the AC Land Office premises at Khanpur in the city in the morning.

Sadar UNO Dedarul Alam presided over the programme, where ADC (Revenue) Mohammad Shafiqur Alam delivered the welcome speech.
 
Senior Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Md Robin Mia, Sadar Circle AC Land Lailatul Hossain, Fatulla Circle AC Land Shahadat Hossain and Siddhirganj Circle AC Land Tasnia Anjum Sohania, among others, were also present at the event.

After the discussion meeting, nine cheques of Tk 4,16,09,212 was handed over to the recipients as the land acquisition money.
Besides, tree saplings were also planted on the Land Office premises marking the Week.
 
PANCHAGARH: The week-long programme was inaugurated by Panchagarh DC Md Zahurul Islam on Sadar Upazila Land Office premises in the town with blowing colourful balloons.

Later on, a mass awareness meeting was held there with ADC (Revenue) Abdul Quader in the chair.

ASP SM Shafiqul Islam, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman AS Shahnewaz Pradhan Shubo, Sadar UNO Zakir Hossain, and FF ATM Sarwar Hossain, among others, also spoke at the meeting conducted by Sadar Upazila Land Officer Maliha Khanam.

DC Md Zahurul Islam said that the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to building a Smart Bangladesh. One of the areas of building a Smart Bangladesh is to bring all land related services to the doorsteps of the people in a smart way.

The Ministry of Land has already conducted various activities to reach people through automation of land related services.

This has increased the mobility and transparency in all land related activities. In this case, e-mutation, online land development tax collection system, digital record room, receipt of certificates and papers by post, digital surveying and mapping, online water lease, land zoning, online hearing system, hot line service (16122) etc.

At the end of the meeting, 39 of the landowners acquired for the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipe Line were given a check of Tk 48 lakh 41 thousand.

E-Namzari, E-Papercha, Online Land Development Tax Collection, Smart Land Record & Mauza Map, Online DCR, Online Khatian Application & Supply, Public Hearing Objections/ Appeals of Survey Process, Field Pamphlet and Record Handover are ongoing till June 14. A booth has been set up to provide various services related to land.

An officer has been assigned at the service booth to provide direct answers to various service related queries of the service takers.

The booth will be open for registration and data entry of LD Tax, e-Namzari, e-Porcha, delivery of online application map by post, and online e-Namzari khatian, DCR issuance, LA Case compensation, regular namjari and khatian and DCR issuance services.
 
On this occasion, the district administration will provide training on various services conducted under the scope of Corsmart Bhumi Seba involving people from different classes and professions of the society.

The training will sensitise the civil society on how a beneficiary can access land related services.

RANGAMATI: The week-long programme was inaugurated on the DC premises in the town in the morning.

Rangamati DC Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan inaugurated the Week.

SP Mir Abu Tauhid, Additional District Magistrate Abdullah Al Mahmud, Rangamati Regional Parishad Member Hazi Kamal Uddin, and Journalist Sunil Kanti De, among others, were also present at that time.

A total of four stalls have been set up on the DC office premises which will provide land related services to people till June 14.

Earlier, a colourful rally was brought out and paraded the main streets of the town.
