International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) held a reception to his excellency the ambassador of UAE to Bangladesh on Sunday.
UAE Ambassador Abdulla Ali Abdullah Khaseif Al Hamoudi was present as the chief guest while IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwarul Azim Arif presided over the event.
The UAE Ambassador said, "I am very proud to be here today. Bangladesh has a good religious and cultural relationship with the UAE. The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries playing a leading role in promoting and spreading the values of tolerance and human coexistence. I hope IIUC will play an important role in promoting and spreading the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence. I wish this university continued success."
IIUC Board of Trustees Chairman and former Member of Parliament Prof Dr Abu Reza Md Nezamuddin Nadvi, IIUC Finance Committee Chairman and BOT Member Prof Dr Engineer Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury, Media, Press, Publicity, and Advertisement Committee Chairman and BOT Member Md Khaled Mahmood, Purchase and Procurement Committee Chairman and BOT Member Prof Dr Md Saleh Zahoor, Internal Audit Committee Chairman and BOT Member Prof Dr Md Fausiul Alam, IIUC Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Mashrurul Mawla, Acting Treasurer Prof Dr Mahi Uddin, Registrar AFM Akhtaruzzaman Kaiser, faculty deans, department chairmen, teachers, officials, and students were present at the occasion.
