Eid means joy, Eid means happiness. One of the two major religious festivals of Muslims is Eid-ul-Azha or the Eid of Sacrifice. Qurbani is one of the most important religious festivals of the Muslim Ummah. After a year, the day comes to reconcile the human minds hunger for enjoyment and animal consciousness to inspire the glory of sacrifice and inspire the motivation of brotherhood. Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in Bangladesh on June 17 (10 Zilhaj). The joy of Eid al-Adha is a little different. The most enjoyable is animal sacrifice. People go to the market and purchase animals of their choice.

It is absolutely right that we sacrifice animals to please the Lord, as well as be conscious of the environment with our sacrifices so that the Lord will be more pleased. Because, according to the Muslim religion, cleanliness is part of Iman. Many of us scatter the blood, waste and bones of sacrificial animals everywhere, due to which the rotting stench spreads and causes environmental pollution and spread of various diseases. When the sacrificer goes home with the meat of the slaughtered animal, oblivious to the harm that the waste of his sacrificial animal can cause to the environment, society, and life-there is no need to prove that his sacrifice is meant to satisfy the addiction of enjoyment.

According to the Department of Livestock, The plenty number of animals to be sacrificed in Bangladesh. The amount is 1 crore 29 lakh 80 thousand 367 in this year. According to the governments Department of Livestock, the number of animals to be sacrificed has increased this time. It has increased so much that the farmers of the country have prepared the number of sacrificial animals for this holy Eid-ul-Azha, never before. This year the number of cows and buffaloes has increased by about 11 percent (10.67%), which is the highest increase in seven years.

This amount of animals will be sacrificed in one day across the country. The question remains whether this huge amount of animal waste will cause pollution in the environment! Unfortunately, we are not very aware of the environmental pollution caused by animal waste after sacrifice. After the animal sacrifice, many leave the animal waste in the open area . If animal blood is left on the road, a lot of stench spreads in the air and it pollutes the environment.Sacrifice is obligatory, which is the order of God, keeping the environment clean is also Gods order and our moral responsibility.

Although for some years the local authorities have fixed the place for the sacrifice but unfortunately, this year the two city corporations of the capital are not fixing the specific place for the animal sacrifice. Since 2015, the city corporation had designated a few places in each ward to protect the beauty of the city and facilitate the removal of waste from sacrifices. Besides, there were all arrangements of animal sacrifices in certain places. This year there is no special place.

Therefore, as in the past, animal sacrifices and waste management activities have been apprehensive. Although both the city corporations say they will remove the waste at the earliest, the city residents have been requested to sacrifice animals at convenient locations and keep the waste in designated areas. After the sacrifice, wash the place well with water and bleaching powder. Then the environment will be better, waste removal will be easier.

What we should do in the waste of sacrificial animals is to choose a clean place as far as possible from the homestead for slaughtering the sacrificial animals. The place of slaughter should be thoroughly cleaned and a hole should be dug so that the whole blood of the slaughtered animal can collect in it. Slaughter should be done in such a way that the blood of the animal accumulates in the pit and does not spread around. After slaughtering, the pit should be covered with earth in such a way that the stench of putrid blood cannot spread.

If in a municipal or city corporation area, they should be kept at designated places so that cleaners can remove them on time. After skinning and meat collection, the area should be washed well and bleaching powder should be sprinkled there, so as not to cause environmental pollution or public suffering. You can enjoy the joy of Eid in a smell-free environment. So you have to be aware of this and encourage others to be aware.
