A Dhaka court on Monday rejected bail prayer of accused Shimul Bhuiyan and Tanvir Bhuiyan in a case filed over abduction of Jhenaidah MP Anwarul Azim Anar with the motive to murder.
Metropolitan Magistrate Tahmina Haque passed the order after a hearing the bail prayer.
Advocate Forkan Ali and Advocate Sohel Amin moved the bail prayers of the accused.
Last week, the three accused Shimul Bhuiyan, Celesty Rahman and Tanvir Bhuiyan, were arrested in Bangladesh.
The accused confessed their crimes in MP Anar murder.
Anwarul Azim Anar, MP of ruling Awami League, crossed the Darshana-Gede border into India for treatment on May 12.
He was staying at his friend Gopal Biswass home in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Since then, he could not be reached by phone. Eventually, the Bangladesh government confirmed his death on May 22, citing Indian police.
Anar was a three-time MP and also President of Kaliganj upazila unit of Awami League.
