Missing teen's body found after 8 days

Police recovered the half-melted body of a teenage boy, who had been missing for last eight days, from a paddy field in Pirgachha upazila of Rangpur district on Monday.

The body was recovered around 9:30 pm from Madokpara village under Kollyani union in the upazila.

Police arrested two people in a  connection with the incident. 

The deceased was identified as Rubel Miah, 15, son of Billal Hossain, a resident of the area.
The arrested men are Hasan Ali, victim's brother-in-law and Sohag.

Earlier, Rubel Miah got out from his house for attending a computer class around 9pm on June 2 but he didn't return . Later, Ruble's father Billal Hossain lodge a missing dairy with Mahigonj Police Station in Rangpur Metropolitan Police the following day, said Ruble's father Billal Hossain.  

Utpal Kumar Ray, additional police commissioner (crime) of Rangpur Metropolitan  Police, said, "Hasan Ali demanded TK 15 lakh over the phone during this time. On Monday afternoon, police arrested Hasan Ali by using information of dairy. Later, police recovered Rubel's body from a paddy field on the basis of Hasan's information."

"The body, later, was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy."

The reason behind the death will be known after getting autopsy report, the police official added.
