Last week, Celesty Rahman along with two other accused who were arrested in Bangladesh confessed to their crimes in MP Anar murder.

Anwarul Azim Anar, MP, of ruling Awami League, crossed the Darshana-Gede border into India for treatment on May 12.

He was staying at his friend Gopal Biswass home in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Since then, he could not be reached by phone. Eventually, the Bangladesh government confirmed his death on May 22, citing Indian police.

Anar was a three-time MP and also President of Kaliganj upazila unit of Awami League.
