Youth crushed under train while making TikTok video

A youth was killed after being crushed under the wheels of a train while making a TikTok video in Faridpur Sadar upazila on Tuesday night.

The accident took place around 7pm on Tuesday in the Bakhunda Jamtola area under the upazila.
The deceased was Md Labib, 18, son of Md Liton, of Taphakhola area of Faridpur town. He passed the SSC exam this year from Faridpur Zila School.

Syed Alawal Hossain, councillor of Ward 25 of Faridpur Municipality, said four friends, including Labib, went to Jamtala with two motorcycles and were making TikTok videos on the rail line. When a Dhaka-bound Benapole Express train was coming towards them, Labib's three friends managed to escape, but he was crushed its wheels and died on the spot.

Somnath Basu, officer-in-charge of Rajbari Railway Police Station, said, railway police recovered the body and handed it over to his family.

Confirming the matter, Faridpur Kotwali Police Station  sub-inspector Jahangir Alam said an unnatural death case was filed in this regard.
