The Popular OTT platform Chorki is all set to release its brand new original series 'Baaji' ,marking the OTT debut of popular singer-actor Tahsan Khan and also bringing the former celebrity couple Tahsan-Mithila in the same series.

Ahead of the release, the series' trailer was released in a grand ceremony on Tuesday night with the actors of the star-studded series including Tahsan Khan, Mim Mantasha, Nazia Haque Orsha, Rafiath Rashid Mithila and others at a press event, held at the All Community Club in the capital’s Gulshan, UNB reports.
Speaking of his debut in OTT, Tahsan Khan said, "I have seen the rise of OTT platforms like Chorki and the variations of content for the past couple of years, and I also got so many offers throughout the time. This marks my first work in OTT, and my first work for Chorki as well; because I wanted to experience working in a completely different story. Playing the character of a cricketer was difficult but I enjoyed and now I am very excited, waiting for the audience's response after the release."

Director Arifur Rahman, known for his work as an independent filmmaker-producer in the country’s film industry for a long time, said, "Among all of my works, ‘Baaji’ has been a standout that is made with the utmost care from the actors to the crew. Everyone tried to give something different to the audience through this series, and I hope our audience will like what we have made."

Regarding her role in the series, Rafiath Rashid Mithila said, "The experience of working with Chorki has always been pretty good and this time it was even better, as the experience of working under the direction of Arifur Rahman in a different story was very interesting. I have played the role of a journalist in the series for which I have thoroughly observed and studied some of my journalist friends; the learning from those ladies came in handy for me to perform in this series."

‘Baaji’ stands out as the first on-screen collaboration of the former famous couple Tahsan-Mithila after their divorce in 2017. To date, fans admire them not only for their romantic duets like "Rodela Dupur," "Durotto," and others but also for their fiction works such "Landphone er Din Gulote Prem" and others.

Sharing their working experience in the series, the actors complemented each other for their creative and fictional works. Tahsan mentioned that even though he shared the screen with Mithila for just a couple of minutes in one episode of the series, he admired their working relationship.

Redwan Roni, Chief Executive Officer of Chorki, said, "Chorki always tries to bring something different for the audience and in continuation of that, it has brought 'Baaji' to the people of the whole country with an amazing story about cricket, at a time when the whole country is in the craziness of cricket. People will get to see many unknown stories of cricket including the havoc of betting, in this series; and we wanted to showcase something that people have not seen before, which we are hopeful that our viewers will enjoy.”
