Visiting Rwanda Chiefof Defence Staff meets Army Chief Gen Shafiuddin

Visiting Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force General MK Mubarakh on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed at Dhaka Cantonment.

 "They discussed issues of cooperation between Bangladesh and Rwanda, focusing on future progress, mutual exchange of favours and development of mutual ties in the days to come, according to a press release.
General Shafiuddin thanked General Mubarrakh for visiting Dhaka and paying the courtesy call on him.

Rwanda Defence Force Chief placed wreaths at Shikha Anirban (the Eternal Flame) at Dhaka Cantonment.

 Later, a smart contingent drawn from three services presented the visiting Rwanda Army Chief guard of honour at Senakunja, where he planted a sapling.  

General Mubarakh arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday on a five-day official visit.
