3 held with hemp in Pabna

Police arrested three men along with 5 kilograms of hemp from Chatmohar upazila in Pabna district on Wednesday night.

The arrested men are Md Motin, 35, Md Kalam, 32, and Md Khokon, 32. All are residents of Dhupulia village under Failjana union in the upazila.

"Acting on a tip-off, a team of Chatmohar Police Station conducted a raid in Failjana union around 10 pm and arrested the trio from behind the Kodomtoloi Government Primary School. At that time, police recovered the drugs from their possessions," said Md Selim Reza, officer in-charge of Chatmohar Police Station.

The arrested have been sent to Pabna jail after filing a case against them under the Narcotics Control Act with the police Station, the OC added.
