Travellers express relief with timely departure of transports

Thousands of homebound people left Dhaka on Thursday by road, rail, and waterways to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in their hometowns. With trains, buses, and launches departing in time, travellers expressed a sense of relief and happiness.

Most trains left the capital as per schedule, while buses left 20 to 30 minutes late on average, citing a lack of passengers, and the Sadarghat launch terminal is yet to see a large crowd.

Meanwhile, there was no significant congestions reported on any of the countrys major highways. From Kamalapur Railway Station, trains have been departing for various destinations as per
schedule.

 Homebound passengers, who had feared delays and overcrowding, looked visibly pleased as they claimed there was no suffering this time around.

 The well-coordinated departure of trains ensured that passengers could start their journey without any hassle.

Similarly, Dhakas roads and highways witnessed an early rush of city dwellers eager to avoid the peak holiday traffic. Bus terminals have been bustling with passengers since the morning, all aiming to reach their hometowns without delay.

Buses services to the north and south regions of the country have also been departing punctually. This year, passengers have not reported any issues of additional fare collection or travel-related discomfort, marking a significant improvement in the holiday travel experience.

Bangladesh is set to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on June 17. Known as the Festival of Sacrifice, Eid-ul-Azha is one of the most significant festivals for Muslims worldwide.

The smooth departure of holidaymakers from Dhaka reflects improved travel management and a coordinated effort by transport authorities to ensure a hassle-free journey for all passengers. As families reunite for the joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Azha, the absence of travel woes adds to the festive spirit.

 With the major rush successfully managed, all eyes now turn to the celebrations set to begin on June 17, as the nation prepares to observe this cherished tradition with devotion and joy.
