Housewife electrocuted in Jhenidah

A housewife died from electrocution at Maheshpur upazila in Jhenidah district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rahima Khatun, 45, wife of Samuj Ali, a resident of Bathangachi Dakshinpara village under Mandarbaria union of the upazila.
Citing the deceased family members, local UP member Humayun Kabir said the woman came in contact with a live electric wire when she was trying to switch on a water pump. She died on the spot.

Maheshpur Police Station officer-in-charge Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the death matter and said an unnatural death case was reported in this regard.
