JAMALPUR, June 14: A day-long training on Cultivation of developed variety oil seed crops and enhancing its production for farmers was held in the district recently.
The training was arranged in the conference room of Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) in the district.
Speakers said, the government has taken various programmes to increase oil seed crop production.
To increase oil seed production, farmers should plant developed seed of BARI and follow proper cultivation process, they added.
Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute (BARI)- Gazipur organized the skill development training.
Project Co-coordinator and Chief Scientific Officer Dr Ferdousi Begum was present at the training as the chief guest.
Chief Scientific Officer of RARS-Jamalpur Dr Manjurul Kadir presided over the training. .
Among others, Chief Scientific Officer Dr Md Shamsur Rahman, Principal Scientific Officer Dr Md Rajab Ali and Senior Scientific Officer Dr Md Khorsed Alam spoke at the training.A total of 60 farmers of the district took part in the training.
