Father-son killed, mother injured as bus hits bike in Bagerhat

A man and his one-year-old son were killed after his motorcycle being hit by a bus in Bagerhat's Fakirhat upazila on Saturday morning.

Deceased Khalilur Rahman's wife Minu Begum was also injured during the accident. 

She is now receiving treatment at Upazila Health Complex.
According to Fakirhat Fire Service Station leader Monirul Islam, Khalilur Rahman alongwith his wife and son were heading towards his in-laws house in Jashore from Patuakhali by his bike. When the vehicle reached Piljango area around 8:30am, a bus from opposite side hit the motorbike, leaving Khalilur and his minor son dead on the scene and wife injured.

The bus and the bike were kept under police custody, said Katakhali Highway Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman.

But the bus driver and helper managed to flee, he added.
