A motorcyclist was killed after a bus hit his motorcycle at Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Shikh Zameer Ali, 50, a resident of Attaki village in the upazila. He was an office assistant of Syed Moholla Khodeza Khatoon Govt. Girls High School.

Eyewitnesses said that around 11:00 am, a Khulna-bound Green Line Paribahan hit Zameer's motorcycle when he went out from the Ara Oil Pump after taking oil. Zameer then fell onto the ground and injured critically.

On information, one unit of fire service rushed to the spot and took Zammer Ali to upazila health complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, said Md Moniruzzaman, station leader of Fakirhat Fire Service.
