13 Bangladeshis return home after serving jail in India

BENAPOPLE, Jun 24: Thirteen Bangladeshis including women and children, who were trafficked to India, returned home on Sunday night through Jashores Benapole check post after serving jail there.

The returnees hail from Bagerhat, Khulna, Narail, Khagrachhari and Pirojpur districts.

Azharul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Benapole Checkpost Police Immigration, said Indian police arrested them after they entered the country illegally.  Later, they were sent to jail through courts, he said.    —UNB
