The Kulaura upazila of
Moulvibazar district have registered two unnatural death cases as two children lost their lives in two separate incidents on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Abu Sayed Ahmed Redwan, 6, son of Nasir Mia, a resident of Muktajipur village under Bhukshimail union, and Jalal Ahmed, 10, son of Abdul Haque, a resident of Amanipur village under Thilagaon union of the upazila.
Bhukshimail Union Parishad chairman Azizur Rahman Monir said Redwan
drowned in the
floodwater of the area when his parents were busy at housework.
Meanwhile, Jalal Ahmed got
electrocuted while he was trying to cut down a bamboo tree and the branches of the tree came in contact with a live electric wire, leaving him critically injured, said Thilagaon Union Parishad chairman Abdul Malik.
He was taken to Kulaura Upazila Health Complex where the physicians declared him dead, he added.
