2 children drown in Rangpur's Ghaghat river

Two children drowned in the Ghaghat river in Rangpur sadar on Wednesday.

The accident took place in Bhurarghat section of the river in the afternoon.
The dead are Azmain, 11, daughter of Anisul Islam, and Jim, 7, son of Jim Ratan Mia of that area

Azmain was a class VI student at local North Bengal Ideal School and College and Jim was class one student of the same institution.

Rangpur Fire Service diving team leader Ataur Rahman said that the bodies of two children were recovered. They drowned in the water of the river while they were taking bath in the afternoon.
