Man, daughter-in-law die from electrocution in Natore

NATORE, June 26: A man and his daughter-in-law died from electrocution in Singra Upazila of Natore on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Akkas Ali, 60, and Lucky Begum,35.

Locals said Hamidul Islam, a resident of Chhoto Chougram area of Singra upazila, had installed open aluminum wires to facilitate water supply to his pond.

The victim, Lucky, got electrocuted when she tried to remove it after seeing electric wire on dung. At that time, her father-in-law Akkas Ali went to remove the wire with the help of bamboo and met the same fate.

Singra Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam said police were sent to the spot and action will be taken if complaints are received.    —UNB
