BAGERHAT, June 27: Police arrested a man along with firearms from Fakirhat Upazila in the district on Monday night.
The arrested man is Imran, 30, a resident of Nikari Para Village under Lakhapur Union in the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fakirhat Model Police Station (PS) Md Ashraful Alam said acting on a tip-off, a team of the law enforcers raided the house of Imran and arrested him. At that time, police also recovered a homemade pistol, six-round bullets, and several homemade firearms from his possession.
Imran is a professional robber and is an accused of 28 cases including a new case registered across various PSs, said the OC.
However, the arrested was produced before the court after completing legal procedures, the OC added.
