A total of 10 examinees were expelled from a center of Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila during the first day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations for resorting to unfair means on Sunday.

At that time, one teacher was also relieved from exam duties for helping the students.

The incident happened at around 10:15 am at Mahmudpur Sayera Safayet School And College in the upazila during the exams.

The punitive measures have been taken against the students and the teacher due to their involvement with the irregularities during the exams, said Alinur Khan, Bhaluka upazila nirbahi officer.
A total of 78,393 students participated in the HSC examination this year in 99 centers of 294 educational institutions in four districts under the Mymensingh Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
