3 pharmacies fined for selling expired medicine in Faridpur

A mobile court fined three drugstores for selling date expired medicines in the Mujib road area in Faridpur town on Sunday.

The court, led by Md Badruzzaman Rishad, executive magistrate of the district, fined three shops Tk 14,000 each, UNB reports.

Magistrate Rishad said that they raided the pharmacies on Mujib Road in the town on Sunday noon.

"Expired medicines and physician samples were recovered during the raid," he added.

At that time, a bond was taken from the shop owners that they would not do such work in the future.

The raid against illegal drugs will continue, Badruzzaman Rishad added.
