Girl found hanging in classroom

JHALAKATI, July 1: Police recovered the hanging body of a schoolgirl from a classroom of a school in Sadar Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The body was recovered at around 11 am from a classroom of fourth floor at Jhalakati Government Harachandra Girls School.
The deceased was identified as Afia Aktar, 14, daughter of Amir Hossain, a resident of Gavaramsondropur Village in the upazila. She was a ninth grader of that school.

Police sources said the body of Afia Aktar was found hanging from the ceiling of a classroom in the morning.

Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene.

Officer-in-Charge of Jhalakati Sadar Police Station Md Sahidul Islam confirmed the incident, adding that legal actions would be taken after investigation.
