Workshop on Safety and rights held in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, July 1: A day-long workshop was held on Safety and Rights in the district on Sunday.

The workshop was arranged in a hotel in the district town; it was jointly organized by Centre for Communication Action Bangladesh (C-CAB) and Ajker Arban.

It was attended by 30 persons of various electronic and print media, and CSO of Jamalpur and Sherpur districts took part in the workshop. Executive Director of C-CAB Syed Zain Al-Mahmood and its Senior Programme Officer Farjia Ahmed conducted the workshop as facilitators.

They said, joint collaboration of media and CSO can play a vital role in  sustainable socio-economic developments.

The government formed Right to Information Act in 2009 to ensure information rights of people, they added.
