A worker named Kamal Hossain (33) has died of burn injuries in the explosion of a fuel oil trawler in Buriganga River at Fatulla in Narayanganj. The death toll has increased to 3 in this incident.
Kamal died in the ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka on Sunday night.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Bachchu Mia confirmed the incident and said, "57 percent of Kamals body was burnt. He died while undergoing treatment in the ICU. The process of handing over the body to the relatives is going on."
After the oil trawler exploded on June 26 in the Buriganga River a body of a labourer named Khokon was recovered. And the body of another person named Fakhruddin was recovered on Friday night.
Sathi Akhter, sister-in-law of deceased Kamal, said that Kamals house is in Manpura upazila of Bhola. He was a worker of that oil trawler named MV Manpura. When his body was burnt in the blast, the locals brought him to Dhaka that day.
Among the five labourers of the trawler Baker and Babul Mollah survived.
