DAULATPUR, KUSHTIA, July 4: Freedom Fighter (FF) Shafiul Islam Sufor of Dafadarpara Village at Philipnagar Union in Daulatpur Upazila of the district passed away on Monday at 4:30pm. He was 78.
He breathed his last at his own residence at 4:30 pm.
He was given guard of honour by the upazila administration in Dafadar Para Village at 10am, on Tuesday. The guard of honour was given by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Faysal Ahmed.
At that time, Officer-in-Charge Daulotpur Police Station (Investigation) Rafiqul Islam, Acting Commander of Upazila Muktijodda Command Sekandar Ali, FFs Abdus Salam Master, Nooor Box, Hazrat Ali, and Jaan Mahmud, Comrade Abdul Mannan, Philipp Nagar Union Chairman Nayem Uddin Sentu, retired fire service officer Mojibur Rahman and Sahab Master and many well-wishes were also present at that tinm
Later on, FF Shafiul was buried at a graveyard in the area, following a Namaz-e-Janaza.
After retiring from Bata Company, he used to live in Dhamrai Upazila of Dhaka.
