Motorcyclist killed in Jashore road accident

A motorcyclist was killed after a bus hit a motorcycle in Sharsha upazila in Jashore district on Friday morning.

The accident happened at 11:00am near Baganchra Bazar at Amir's Muri Mill area in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Alamgir Karir, 40, a resident of Kismat Ilishpur village in Kaiba union in the upazila.

A bus, carrying passengers, from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle in the area while Alamgir Kabir was going home to Baguri from Baganchra Bazar. Kabir died on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and handed it over to the family, said Jayanto Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Navaran Highway Police Station. 

The bus was seized but the driver managed to flee from the spot, the police official added.
