Youth held with Yaba pills in Sherpur

Police in a drive arrested a youth along with 400 Yaba pills from Nalitabari upazila in Sherpur district in the early hours of Saturday.

The arrested was Ismail Hossain, 27, hailed from Laribag Maddhyapara village under Burichang upazila of Cumilla district.
Nalitabari Police Station officer-in-charge Monirul Alam Bhuiyan said acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid at Modhutila Eco Park area of East Samuschura village under Poragaon union in the upazila and arrested the youth along with the drugs around 1.30am on Saturday.

"The arrested was sent to a Sherpur Court on Saturday afternoon after filling a case with the police station under Narcotics Control Act," added the OC.
