Missing boy found dead in Pabna

Police recovered the body of a school student, who went missing on Friday, from a jungle next to an abandoned building in Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna on Saturday morning.

The boy Jihad Hossain, was a third-grade student at a local kindergarten school.

Quoting family members, Ishwardi Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami said Jihad was playing in the rain with his classmates near the abandoned food warehouse in Dashuria Tetultala area around 5pm on Friday and went missing.

Later, the family searched him every possible areas and made announcement through loudspeakers at night. They also filed a general diary with Ishwardi Police Station the same night in this regard, he added.
Around midnight, Jihad's shorts and sandals were found inside the warehouse. On Saturday morning, police recovered the body in the jungle near the warehouse and sent it to the hospital for autopsy.

The official said there were several injury marks on the body. Police are investigating the matter.
