Child killed in Rajbari road accident

A six-year-old girl was killed after an auto-rickshaw run her over at Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Nusrat Jazan, daughter of expatriate Bachchu Mollah, a resident of Volai Matobbor Para under Uzancar union in the upazila.  

The accident happened in the new bridge area under Uzancar union in the upazila. 

The deceased's grandmother said that an auto-rickshaw ran her over while she was crossing the road after buying biscuits from a shop near her house, leaving her critically injured.
Locals rescued her and took her to Goalanda Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared her dead. 

Dr Jahangir Hossain, an emergency deparment doctor of Goalanda Upazila Health Complex, confirmed it. 

He said, the child died before arriving at the hospital.
