Twin brothers drown in Naogaon

Two brothers dawned in a pond at Dhamoirhat upazila in Naogaon district on Sunday 12:00 noon.

The incident happened at Possim Cokvabani village under Khelna union in the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Ram, 03, and Lokkon, 03, sons of Suzit Orau, residents of the area.

Local UP member Abu Salam said that the duo fell into a pond near their house while they were playing its bank in the morning.

Later, local people spotted the children's floating bodies in the pond when they were searching the children as they were missing for long time.

On information, police have been sent to the spot, said Md Bahauddin Faruqi, officer-in-charge of Dhamoirhat Police Station.
