Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) standing sub-committee held the second meeting on research, development and training at the chamber office at World Trade Centre on Sunday.
CCCI director and sub-committee director in-charge Engineer Iftekhar Hossain presided over the event.
CCCI director and sub-committee director in-charge Engineer Iftekhar Hossain said that solving the problems of traders in Chittagong region and that Chittagong Chamber is working with the government to resolve this issue. Research, seminars, training and workshops are also organized through various sub-committees to identify and solve various problems.
He also said, ''People's thinking is decreasing due to the use of technology in the current era of industrial revolution which is affecting the workplace. So we have to work with emotional intelligence like artificial intelligence.'' He said that the chamber board will be informed to organize a seminar or workshop on this issue in the future.
In the meeting, an action plan was formulated for the implementation of various initiatives under the plan from the sub-committee.
CCCI Secretary In-charge Engineer Md Faruk, Convener Salauddin Yusuf, Joint Convener Dr Yamin Bin Baki and Engineer SM Shahidul Alam, members Md Rafiqul Islam, Istiaq Doja, Md Abu Huraira, BCE CEO Wasfi Tamim along with chamber officials were present on the occasion.
