Youth held with heroin in Rajbari

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a drug peddler along with heroin from Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district on Monday.

The arrested man is Md Monir Hossain, 21, hailed from Manikganj's Harirampur Police Station.

The information was given through a press release signed by Md Moniruzzaman, officer in-charge of district DB.

It said that acting on a tip-off, a team of DB conducted a raid in Poravita area under Goalanda upazila and arrested Monir from an under construction building in the area around 8:00 pm. At that time, police recovered 5.5 grams of heroin from his possession.

The process is ongoing to file a case in this regard, it added.
