Man electrocuted in Jashore

A 30-year-old man died from electrocution at Sharsha upazila in Jashore district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman Habib, son of Jihad Ali, a resident of Chotkapota area in the upazila. 

It was learnt that Habibur came in contact with an electric live wire while attempting to tie an electric wire to the mouth of a pipe connected to an irrigation pump in a field, leaving him critically injured. 

Locals rushed to the scene and took him to Sharsha Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Confirming it Sheikh Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Sharsha Police Station, said that the body has been handed over to the family members without an autopsy as there were no allegations.
