Child killed in Rajbari road crash

A first grade student was killed after being hit by a battery-operated autorickshaw at Baliakandi upazila in Rajbari district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Jui Akter, 7, daughter of China Khatun from Dangapara village under Nababpur union of the upazila. She was a student of Padmodi Chandana Guchhogram Government School and used to live with her mother.
According to locals, a battery-operated autorickshaw ran over the child while she was crossing a road in front of her school around 12 noon, leaving her dead on the spot.

Baliakandi Police Station officer-in-charge Md Alamgir Hossain confirmed the death matter and added that legal actions will be taken in this regard.
