Child among 2 killed in Cox's Bazar landslides

A woman and a 10-year-old boy were killed in separate landslides caused by heavy rainfall in Cox's Bazar's Sikdarpara and Polangkata early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Nur Jahan, 27, and Hasan, 10.

Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital resident doctor Ashiqur Rahman said a woman and a child had died before arrival at the hospital. The bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue.
"Landslides incident occurred at different places of Cox's Bazar due to heavy rainfall, said Cox's Bazar Model Police Station OC Rakibuzzaman.

Continuous heavy rainfall since Wednesday has led to waterlogging in the low-lying areas of Cox's Bazar.
