National Fisheries Week-2024 begins July 30

A week-long 'National Fisheries Week-2024' will begin on July 30 across the country to promote sustainable development and expansion of fisheries resources.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the 'National Fisheries Week-2024' at 10:30am on July 31 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.

Secretary of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Syed Mahmud Belal Haider told an inter-ministerial meeting at Fisheries Department conference room in Dhaka on Thursday.
The Fisheries and Livestock Ministry will celebrate 'National Fisheries Week-2024' from July 30 to August 5.

He said various programmes have been taken marking the event, including colorful processions, press conference, fisheries fair and release of fish fry at Bangabhaban, Ganabhaban, Sangsad Bhaban and ponds in the city.
