HSTU students block highway demanding quota reform

In a protest demanding quota reforms, students of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) in Dinajpur staged a demonstration blocking Dinajpur-Dashmile highway for two hours on Monday.

The students, asserting their demand for the full implementation of the 2018 quota reform circular, gathered in front of the university's main gate on Monday (July 15). 
Eventually they they blocked the highway for two hours from 11am to 1pm and insisted that all centrally announced policies must be implemented properly, and false allegations against students should be withdrawn.

They also emphasized the necessity of upholding the quota reform circular to avoid prolonged agitation.

The demonstration involved slogans by quota reform activists, leading to a major disruption on the Dinajpur-Dashmile highway, affecting hundreds of vehicles in both directions.
